1. App operator

Sirte Media is a media and services application for Sirte Oil Company for Production and Manufacturing of Oil and Gas. It is technically developed, managed, and published by Issa Mokhtar for the company and under the administrative permissions granted to him.

This policy applies to the public area of the app and to restricted areas available to authorized users and employees.

2. Information we may collect

The information depends on how the app is used and may include:

• Authorized-user account data: name, employee number, job title, role, organizational unit, phone number, email address when provided, and sign-in information needed to verify access permissions.
• Requests and reports: request type, title, details, date, time, status, notes, submitting unit, violation reports, and any photos, files, or links uploaded by the user.
• Notification data: a device push token used to deliver alerts related to news, requests, reports, or assigned tasks.
• Technical and diagnostic data: device type, operating system, app version, timestamps, IP address, and crash or error logs that may be generated by hosting, security, and diagnostic services.
• Location: the app does not require continuous location tracking. A user may manually add a location link or location information to a report when they choose to do so.

3. How information is used

• To operate the app and provide news, tenders, media, and available services.
• To authenticate authorized users and enforce their assigned permissions.
• To receive, process, and track media requests and violation reports.
• To deliver important notifications and updates related to app functions.
• To protect the app, prevent misuse, diagnose problems, and improve performance.
• To respond to support, account-deletion, and data-deletion requests and meet applicable operational or legal obligations.

4. External technology services

The app uses Google Firebase services, which may include cloud database, file storage, cloud functions, hosting, and push messaging. These services may process certain information on behalf of the app operator to provide the requested functions and protect the service.

The app may also include external links, such as the company website, YouTube, or the payroll platform. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies when you leave the app or open their pages.

5. Information sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. Information may be shared only as necessary with:

• Authorized company personnel, depending on the request or report and their assigned permissions.
• Technology service providers that operate cloud infrastructure, messaging, and storage.
• Competent authorities where disclosure is legally required or necessary to protect rights, security, and prevent misuse.

6. Data retention

Information is retained for as long as needed to operate the app and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Requests, reports, and related records may be kept for operational, archival, administrative, or legal requirements. When a deletion request is approved, information is deleted or de-identified unless continued retention is required.

7. Data security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. However, no electronic transmission or storage method can guarantee absolute security. Users must keep their sign-in credentials confidential and must not share them with others.

8. App permissions

The app may request permissions only when needed, including:

• Notifications: to receive news, alerts, request-status updates, and assigned tasks.
• Camera, photos, or files: to upload an image or attachment to a request or report after the user chooses to do so.
• Calling and external links: to open phone numbers, WhatsApp, or web pages at the user's request.

Permissions can be managed in device settings, but disabling a permission may limit the related feature.

9. User rights and account/data deletion

Users may request correction of their information or deletion of their account and associated data. We may need to verify the identity of the requester, and records that must be retained for legitimate legal or administrative reasons may be excluded from deletion.

10. Children's privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly target the collection of their personal information. If we learn that a child's information was collected without an appropriate basis, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

11. Policy updates

This policy may be updated when app functions, data practices, or regulatory requirements change. The latest update date appears at the top of this page, and significant changes may be communicated in the app.
